Thank God for Coffee Shops

Coffee shops are the greatest. Yes, people who create coffee shops set  a bluesy, cool, and eccentric  environment so patrons enjoy an excursion from their typical surroundings. Then there’s the unique smell of roasted coffee beans that tickle your nose and invades your mind. The aroma takes you on a journey deep within your imagination. You picture cool people with jazzy creative minds sitting around tables developing unique art or see a group of business associates discussing events worth millions.  All because the coffee shop is the embracing environment you can call home or your meeting place.

Funny thing about coffee is it’s the honey for adults. It’s with a natural chemistry  free from human additives causing an impact to the body. It’s the drink that gets us going and keeps us on the proverbial toes encouraging our focus. Or it’s the mixture of nature and hot water that unites like minds in any dwelling. It’s a unique blend of herbs that reminds many folks of home. It is the flash into childhoods where your first introduction to coffee was the routine of your  parents and grandparents and later adopt the tradition yourself. Coffee, the magical black mixture stronger than love. Yea, that’s it coffee.

Coffee is a global drink, a source of socializing, a breaker of stiff meetings, the soother of distress or painful situations, and the introduction piece for strangers. Even when military service members walk a long march, drive into unknown wilderness, fight a long battle or find a moment to relax, you’ll hear someone offer a cup of joe. “Hey, I’ll have one of those my man.”

Hats off the coffee shop owners. It’s a simple business and easy on the pocket, but their unique way of setting environments takes the cake. It’s like visiting an old friend or sitting on the porch viewing a mountain range, sitting on a beach during sunrise, or camping near a waterfall, there is a cup of affection in your hand. If you find yourself walking a strange street, or in an unfamiliar city, find yourself a coffee shop and you’ll find a piece of home. Don’t forget to order a unique blend while you’re there.
