You can influence a smile

I walked in, silent and deadly with cutting looks upon my prey. She had no idea of my presence and I kept it that way. With the roll of my feet, heel to toe, I carefully approached her, and like the wind of time gently touching her skin, I pressed my fore finger on her shoulder. She jumped for the sky, nearly spilling whatever was in hand. “What the hell?!” she shouted at the top of her lungs. Her eyes glazed me and her facial expression changed – countering  the cold surprise with the blowing heat from the ceiling vent on a cold day. She gleamed  with surprise and outreached arms, “What are you doing here?”

It’s spontaneous moments that count for something. We never know what the account for exactly, but if seeing a friend, a love, or a family member brings an unexpected smile, then it’s worthy of the moment. You do what you can to bring joy to someone’s heart. It’s important because you can change a person’s day or spark thoughts of greatness or give food to allow them to settle a meaningful debate. Whatever reason you use to be spontaneous, it’s your action that can become the catalyst to something greater. Just keep your intent positive.

One day someone will remember your spontaneous act. They will do something simple themselves, even if it’s starting with a smile, or giving a greeting  from the heart, or aiding  another with a courteous opening a door for someone. I think it’s important because the return smile you receive maybe the best thing that ever happens to you.
